This is a brand new window shade that just came out and I love the versatility ad the huge number of options that make this a great window treatment – even for those “difficult windows”.
Trilight blinds are window shades that have the top-down/bottom-up feature, meaning you can have the shade raise (“bottom-up”) or you can drop the top of the shade down (“top-down”) so you have light coming in from the top and privacy at the bottom.
With the Honeycomb “TriLight Shades”, the top portion is a pleated shade and the bottom part can be a cellular shade, woven wood or Roman Shade! And because it’s a “top-down/bottom-up shade”, you can adjust the shade to your specific need at any given time.
For example, you can have the shade positioned so the pleated sheer on top and the shade on the bottom both show OR you can have the pleated sheer be the entire full length of the shade OR the shade at the bottom show as the entire shade
Customizing the shade to have it exactly the way you want it is easy:
- Select a bottom shade type (either cellular, woven wood or Roman shade)
- Select a bottom shade fabric style and color
- Select a pleated sheer color for the top shade
- If you’re going with a cellular shade on the bottom, pick out standard or cordless lift control
It may sound a bit complicated but it’s actually pretty simple once you get the concept. When you see it you’ll get it and you’ll understand why I love this shade so much and why I think you will, too!
I just installed our first TriLight Shade for a client here in the Toledo area. Here’s a photo of the shade positioned so that the sheer is shown at the top portion and the cellular shade is positioned on the bottom.
To see more photos of the different positions of the shade, take a look at the photos on our Pinterest page. You’ll also see photos of the installation we just finished so you can get a better idea of how this looks in a home. Check out these pics of the new Trilight Shade then come back and leave a comment and let me know what you think. Be sure to see our Trilight shade reviews on our YouTube channel.
